I’m addicted to those .75 cents starbucks vanilla bean scones. I don’t know why, I just love them. But .75 for a small piece can get a bit pricey if I buy 3 everyday, so I decided to bake them myself. Besides, I’m on a baking streak this week, so I might as well try and see if I can create yummy petite vanilla bean scones.

So I set off to buy the ingredients for the scones. My pantry is pretty much stocked with baking ingredients and the only ones missing are the following:
-Heavy cream
-Whole milk
-unsalted butter (I used them up the day before for brown butter chocolate chip cookies. They were to die for)
-Vanilla Beans

I went to TJ (Trader Joe’s) to purchase the missing ingredients and was able to get my hands on everything except for the Vanilla Beans. For this batch, I needed 3 strings. Since TJs didn’t have them, I walked over to a Whole Foods and found the beans. My eyes bulged and my heart sank when I saw the price: $10.99 per string. :O was pretty much my expression when I picked it up. Holy guacamole, vanilla beans are expensive! I really didn’t want to pay that much and almost gave up on making the scones. I stood there for about 2 mins then decided to look up inexpensive places where I can buy vanilla beans on my handy dandy phone. Some sweet lady on one of the forums mentioned that it’s cheap at a Cost Plus World Market. I used the maps on my phone to see if there is one nearby, lo and behold, there is one! So, I put the fucking expensive beans from whole foods (hate whole foods btw, organic schmanic is so pricey. Don’t get me started on organic stuff…) and drove to the World Market.

Once I got to the world market, I immediately searched for the vanilla beans. To my delight, I found them and squealed when I saw the price: $2.99 for one! I quickly grabbed three and paid for them with a huge smile on my face.

I got home and proceeded to bake the scones. Then, I made the glaze and dipped the scones. After an hour, the glazed set and I tried the vanilla beans scones and oh my, the scones are so good! Amazing. I did a great job baking them if I do say so my self. I mean look at these beauties (taken after freshly glazed)

And they were scrumptious. No, I’m not going to post the recipe, this isn’t a food blog. Go find the recipe on the internet, it’s easy enough.

Ah happy tummy filled with scones and korean bbq. Wish I could make these for Uriel. Oh well, see this is why it’s his loss. I’ve changed for the better and can cook and bake like a pro now.

Okay, I want to eat more scones. Good thing I run a lot. Haha.

I just came home from a night of dinner, movies, patron shots, and karaoke with friends. It’s 4:40am PST, and I’m completely wide awake.

I seem to be losing weight again. I fit into my size 00 jeans again. And the size 0 jeans are getting a bit loose.

Must be all the running I’m doing. I haven’t been running much though because of my shin splints. Interesting.

I just want to say that I have the best friends in the world. Bar none. Ever. Period.

Day 2 of the motorcycle class went by without a hitch. Had a written test after we finished going over the materials and passed with flying colors! Then, we did more riding exercises in the afternoon for about 4 hours. After that, we had a skill evaluation test. I passed that as well!

All I need to do now is go take the written exam at the DMV, then I will receive the M1 license. Once that is done, then off to buy a motorcycle! Weee!!!

P.S. I still miss the chu. Sigh. I’m going to read or play Starcraft II to take my mind off this feeling of longing.

Bored in between breaks here at motorcycle class. Done with the written part, now off to 5 hours of riding. Weeee!

While perusing the news, I came upon an article regarding Chelsea Clinton’s wedding. I’m jealous, mostly because she married a Jew without having to convert and his family didn’t mind that she isn’t one.

Just randomly musing. I notice a pattern whenever I miss Uriel. It seems, I particularly miss him during that time of the month. Hate the emotional sensitivity that comes during that time.

Well, I’m off to the class. Later folks.

My sister dragged me to take a motorcycle class. I didn’t really want to go, but she got mad at me when I said no, so I told her I would go. Class started at 8:30am and ended at 5:30pm. Too long.

All in all, it was a fun class! I forgot how fun it was to ride motorcycles. One more day, and we’ll be done. Then off to get M1 license.

I’m thinking of getting a motorcycle, but we’ll see. The parentals are against it, obviously. They offered to purchase a brand new car for me if I don’t buy a motorcycle. At this point, I’m only there because my sister needed someone to go with. I guess that’s one difference between her and me. If I want to do something, and no one wants to do it with me, I would proceed to do it.

I have a throbbing headache. I suppose that’s what being under the sun the whole afternoon would do to a person. I’m watching tv for an hour, then off to review materials for the class tomorrow.

I would love to share this experience with Uriel. I have to admit, the more time pass, the more I miss the guy. I envy those who can spend time with him whenever they please. I do hope time would erase this feeling. If not, then time would heal all wounds, and hopefully things will be well again.

Alright, tv, then study, then sleep. I have an early and long day tomorrow. Until then…

I saw The Twilight Saga: Eclipse movie for the second time today, but this time on IMAX. Frakkin expensive and gave me a headache. I really don’t see the point of IMAX. I can’t tell the difference from regular movie screens.

Anyways, the reason I went to watch again because the good people at Summit Entertainment twitted that 2 actors were going to introduce the movie at AMC Century City. So I dragged my butt and drove to West LA hoping that either Rob and Taylor Lautner would show up.

Upon arriving, we were told to stay after the show. Then, an AMC employee officially announced that the actors will be coming after the movie is finished. After the movie was done, they announced the actors: Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart!

Kristen is really pretty in person. Okay, I’m team Jacob and love Taylor Lautner and would have his kids if he wants me too, BUT when I saw Rob in person, my jaw DROPPED. The man is gorgeous. HOT. Handsome. Holy macaroni, Kristen is one lucky lady. I would have his babies too LOL. Might have to become Team Switzerland after this.

I took 3 pictures and a video. They were only there for a couple of minutes, but who cares! I saw them real close!
