Again, I’ve had a wonderful, busy weekend! I can’t believe it, but this is turning out to be one of the best summers ever!

I was busy since Friday afternoon, Saturday the whole day, and Sunday the whole day! Saw No Doubt in concert, which was awesome! The concert is definitely in my top 2. My legs hurt from jumping up and down the whole night (I kept banging my thighs on the chairs :) ). Then went shopping on Sat, and I got a short, cute haircut. Really short, like the haircut I got 4 years ago, only shorter. I was getting tired of my long hair so I just said to hell with it, and had my stylist chop it off. Then today, was food binge day at the orange county fair.

I’m going to upload photos later this week. I’m too busy now with school work, I barely have time to watch TV.

I realized, I go out more now, than when I was “with” Uriel. Hm. Maybe he was holding me back too. I hang out with my friends more, and I’m out having fun more.  I mean, I have something to do for the next 4 weekends. I have to turn down invites for weekday shenanigans because of school work. I’m busier now, and I like it.

great weekend

I had an awesome weekend! And once again, none of it was planned. Maybe planning is overrated?

Friday night was spent at Father’s Office, which by the way has the best selection of beer and one of the best burgers I’ve had, ever. Then on Saturday, went to the farmer’s market, saw a movie, eat korean tofu, and then pink taco’s and another movie in the evening. Can’t believe I saw 2 movies that day, but hey, it was fun. Pink Taco’s had a 50% off drinks deal during happy hour so we took advantage of that. Sunday, we went to the only planned event for the weekend, my friend’s brother’s baby’s 1 month birthday celebration. Get this, the baby is named Serenity. Yes, after Firefly. How cool is that?

I was planning to drive up North this week for a developer conference, but I have a bunch of papers and project due, so I decided not to go. Which is a bummer because all my party people friends are up there. Would have been nice to hang out and party with them. Oh well maybe next time.

I’m looking forward to next weekend, which will be kicked off by No Doubt’s concert.

Also, I have new pictures up on the gallery, if anyone is interested to see. I’m going to upload pictures of Uriel and I sometime this week. So stay tuned for that.

Awesome night!

Had a fantastic Saturday night, and it all started with Po po Zao! Musha, Little Big Planet, J and C’s company. Glad I didn’t just stay at home and work on the project. Nothing beats going to Musha, staying there for three hours, eating excellent food, and watching twin and C do arm wrestling while the people in the tables around us watch with amused look on their faces. Followed by a game of little big planet (I don’t get the game, but the characters are so cute!), while C and twin (they were completely drunk) tried to read and critique technical papers.

All in all, an awesome Saturday night, and it was all planned at the last minute. Just goes to show that you don’t need to make plans in advance to have fun. Just a quick call (or a po po zao text, inside joke) is all you need. I’m so blessed to have great friends.

Sasha Fierce Delivers!

Oh Miss Sasha Fierce aka Beyonce! Truly one of the top notch entertainers in the music industry. The concert is FIERCE!

I’ve seen Beyonce in concert before, and WOW. It’s totally worth it seeing her again. I don’t care how high the ticket prices are, I will always go see her every time she’s on tour. I mean, what’s not to love? From the all-women band (I love her band, especially the bass and guitar players, they are so cool!), to the FIERCE dance moves, and of course, Beyonce’s powerful voice. And it’s all LIVE. No lip synching, whatsoever. She’s truly entertaining, and she never fails to deliver a fantastic performance. The choreography is divalicious as always and I just can’t stress how beautiful and powerful her voice is, especially while dancing!

I love that there are 2 stages: the main stage, and a small stage in the middle. Towards the middle of the concert, she went to the middle stage and performed all the classic Destiny’s child and old Beyonce hits.  There was never a dull moment during her concert and I left the venue with a ringing in my ear, and a throat that’s a bit hoarse :)

Oh, one thing I love about going to concerts in LA, especially at the staples center: star sightings! Derek Fisher and Tom Cruise were at the concert and people went ballistic when they sat on their seats. It was crazy. Also, this concert was especially enjoyable because kids were sitting in front of us, which means we actually SAW the concert. If you’d known me for a while, my main complaint on all concerts that I went to was that there was always some tall, fat person in front of me. This time, I was able to enjoy the concert and see it fully without having to crane my neck. And the girls sitting next to me were EXTREMELY NICE. Usually, we’re surrounded by bitches who always spill beer all over my shoes, but this time, the girls were super nice and funny!

A top night! Next concert: No Doubt at the end of the month!
